What You Missed – and the Moments that Made – Verint Engage 2026

Five Engages in, and this was the one that stuck with me. Here’s what went down in Vegas – and why I flew home feeling more energized than I should be after 3+ days of eventing.

This was my fifth Verint Engage, and I’ve enjoyed every one of them. From the pre-event content sprints to the inevitable on-site scramble when something unexpected needs attention, it’s all part of the fun. But this year’s event — the first with Calabrio as part of Verint — raised the bar. Between hearing from our new CEO, Dave Rhodes, connecting with customers, partners, and colleagues old and new, and seeing the innovation Verint is bringing to market, expectations were running high. I’m happy to say Engage delivered. Four days later, I left energized, inspired, and yes, a little exhausted — but more convinced than ever that the future of CX is being shaped right now.

Verint Engage26

Why Verint Engage 2026?

For three days in Las Vegas, Verint Engage 2026 brought together the people shaping the future of customer experience. Through keynotes, customer stories, hands-on demonstrations, and peer-to-peer conversations, attendees explored how AI and automation can deliver measurable value.

If there was one takeaway, it was this: organizations are no longer asking whether to invest in AI — they are focused on how to translate that investment into real business outcomes. Across three days of conversations, demonstrations, and customer-led sessions, attendees explored practical approaches to scaling AI and automation with confidence.

The moments that made Engage 2026

There was no shortage of highlights across the three days in Las Vegas, but a few moments have stayed with me since the event in question.

  1. First was Dave Rhodes’ keynote. As the first Engage with Calabrio as part of Verint, there was a lot of anticipation heading into the event. Dave set the tone from the opening session, reinforcing the vision for the combined company and, more importantly, what that means for customers looking to accelerate CX automation and business outcomes.
  2. Another standout was seeing where Verint is headed next. From the main stage, product leaders shared a glimpse into the innovation roadmap and the continued investments being made across the Verint CX Automation Platform. The launch of Agent Factory was a particularly exciting moment, showcasing a practical approach to helping organizations scale AI-powered automation across the enterprise.
  3. Away from the keynotes, the breakout sessions delivered exactly what attendees were looking for: real-world examples, practical advice, and honest discussions about what is — and isn’t — working as organizations move from AI experimentation to measurable results. It wasn’t theory. It was customers sharing lessons learned, best practices, and tangible outcomes.
  4. Of course, Engage has always been about more than the content. Some of the best conversations happened between sessions, at networking events, and over coffee. There is something energizing about being surrounded by people tackling similar challenges, sharing ideas, and learning from one another.
  5. On a personal level, one of the best parts of the week was reconnecting with colleagues from around the world and meeting others in person for the first time. In a business that increasingly operates across continents and time zones, those face-to-face conversations matter. They strengthen relationships, spark new ideas, and remind you that behind every project, meeting, and Teams chat is a group of talented people working toward the same goal.

Looking back, what stood out most was the combination of innovation, practical learning, and genuine connection. Engage 2026 wasn’t just about discussing the future of CX — it was about seeing how organizations are putting AI and automation to work today to drive real business outcomes.

Bringing the Engage 2026 buzz back to reality

The hard part about any great conference is Monday. Whether you were in the room or catching up from afar, the challenge now is the same one that surfaced throughout Engage: how do you turn AI investment into measurable business outcomes? The conversations may be over, but the work certainly isn’t.

What I appreciated most about this year’s event was the focus on practical application. From the main stage keynotes and roadmap sessions to customer-led breakouts and hands-on discussions, the theme was consistent: move beyond experimentation, focus on outcomes, and scale what works.

As for me, I left Las Vegas energized, inspired, and yes, a little exhausted. Engage 2026 may be in the rear-view mirror, but the AI Reality Check is playing out every day across contact centers and customer engagement operations around the world.
